Hi! My name is Natty Strange! I do a lot of cool things, and I made this page to help you learn about some of the cool things I do.
I am a 31-year-old social justice organizer and generally funny person, I guess. My pronouns are she/they. I have been organizing for about 14 years, 10 of which I spent as a full-time professional organizer for labor unions in Seattle and for community, political, and labor advocacy organizations in New Jersey and Philadelphia (where I am currently based). I am a first-generation American — both my parents immigrated to the US from Poland. I have a degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Rutgers University, where I got my start organizing; one of the many things I did there was co-found a statewide student association, New Jersey United Students, which worked to help pass the In-State Tuition Act granting in-state tuition to undocumented students in New Jersey.
Nowadays, I work as a marketing professional, but I love to do pro-bono consulting work for justice-oriented organizations to help them develop winning strategies and create lasting change in their communities. I'm also working on comedy writing and TV writing (I have something very exciting TBA!). My other interests include video games, acting, philosophy, cars, foreign languages and travel, modern art, independent community radio, avant-garde music and film, punk shows, fashion, and my three cats.
